Gill Melia joined Accenture on 7 February 1994 and spent several years within IT before moving across to Travel to manage the corporate housing area for the UK. Gill then went on to manage Travel operations before moving, in 2008, to her present role as UK/Ireland Travel Manager. As Travel Manager, Gill is responsible for Accenture’s travel programme across the UK and Ireland which covers travel agency, online travel booking tool, corporate accommodation, preferred hotels, air, ground transport, meetings/events and the corporate card programme. A more recent focus has been the Environmental impact of Accenture’s travel patterns. Additionally, Gill held the role of Business Services Manager until early this year, which involved managing the Executive Support structure across both UK and Ireland. Her interests include reading, cooking and training the latest addition to her family, a beagle puppy. Gill is married with two daughters and lives in Cambridgeshire.
